The Art of Placemaking - RSA Journal

If you’re part of the RSA, check out this piece I wrote on the art of placemaking in its latest journal, a issue devoted to issue of place from a multitude of perspectives, and a great read all round.
It was a honour to be asked to contribute and to advocate for the radical practice I know placemaking can be, and so pleased to have the opportunity to pull focus on some of the greats I admire and work with – Frances Whitehead. Jeanne van Heeswijk, Stove Network, In Certain Places and Take A Part.

A massive thank you to everyone for the overwhelmingly positive responses to this piece too – the RSA gave me the space to include projects across the globe and network them into a space they don’t often find themselves in and it seems to have resonated. A really good sign for the future health of the placemaking sector, to include difference, to work with a multitude, and to deeply listen.
