Rethinking Governance with Visual Arts SW

With arts organisations across the sector thinking anew about how they organise, who they work with and how, a lot of my conversations with partners has been about finding new ways to govern, ways that are accountable to mission and that work to matters of social and environmental justice – and I am delighted to be talking with members of Visual Arts South West on this very subject, with a workshop to discuss what fit-for-purpose governance for them, their way of working, and their organisation looks like.

My session will include examples of new and radical forms of governance from organisations in and out of the arts and culture sector; an exercise to get hands on with their own situations; and hold time to share and learn from each other.

The workshop takes place on 5 May, 10 am to 12 pm, and is aimed at small organisations or artist led groups that are looking to develop and strengthen their organisational working practice. As it’s a hands on session, places are limited – more information and to join here.
