Making It Happen - evaluation report now live

East Sussex continues to impress me for what asset-based community development can look like in practice - resilient, relational, and rooted in the power of people.

The final evaluation report for the Making it Happen programme (2019–2025) is now live:

This report is rich with insight into how communities can shift the conditions of their lives when investment is placed in local leadership, community infrastructure, and collaborative learning across systems.

It’s a significant contribution to the field, with lessons for anyone working in place-based change, systems thinking, or community-led development. I had the privilege of contributing a small part as a member of the academic advisory board towards the end of the programme, and I’m proud to celebrate the incredible work of everyone involved.

A must-read for funders, policy-makers, practitioners and community builders alike.
