Appointed as URBACT Expert

Some news I'm really pleased to share: I've been validated as an URBACT IV Ad hoc Expert.

URBACT is the European programme that supports cities to design and deliver integrated, participatory approaches to urban challenges, and joining its expert pool means I'll be working with cities, municipalities and networks across Europe.

My validated areas of expertise are:

  • The design and delivery of (transnational) exchange and learning activities

  • Thematic expertise in culture; equality, diversity and inclusion; and health

  • Methods and tools for integrated and participatory approaches, including integrated and participatory design of strategies, and monitoring and evaluation for effective implementation

It's a natural extension of the work I've been doing for over three decades at the intersection of culture, community and place, and I'm looking forward to bringing participatory, trauma informed and evidence based practice into the URBACT network.
